So, I have my new set of babies arriving probably Tuesday, maybe as late as Wednesday.

Its been over a year since I brooded babies so Im trying to get back into that frame of mind.

I just bought the Brinsea Octo 20 brooder heater and its all set up in my brooder box I built.

I need to know a few thing :

1. When the babies run Out from under the brooder heater, does the surround air temperature need to be heated ( supplemental heat ), to 95 deg like if Im not using the Brinsea?

2. Ive never brooded bantams, so , if supplemental heat is required , do I start at 95 deg for the first week, then 90 the next week and so on ??

Im looking forward to all the great suggestions and help.

Thanks..

Be sure you don't go over 95. They do better if they have a cooler place to move to, so they can choose what temp is comfortable for them.
