Hey there,

The fella and I finally went the duck route. I deal with them frequently at work, as would happen when you're overseeing America's oldest wildlife refuge. Getting to have some domestics home and being able to be buddies with them is grand so far; we frown upon it at work since we don't want the resident and migratory waterfowl and other birds to be too friendly or comfortable with humans.

We (hopefully) have two ducklets. I did an initial vent sexing when we first got them and both looked to be girls at the time, but I don't sex ducklings very often at work... so we'll see what we end up with! We're hoping for some eggs eventually.

We're in the process of building their duck house and adding the pen amenities and security.

With both of us being big fans of the "Darkwing Duck" series when we were little (heck, we do own all the episodes as adults)...

Darkwing / Muscovy
Not sure if she's pure scovy or a mule/hinny? Either way, we love the trills and coos and her super goofy personality. Big fan of mirrors, so we have one in their pen. Pink bill, orange feet, pink skin. Majority white feathers with some dark feathers growing on her head so far - Pied Muscovy?

&

Negaduck / Khaki Campbell (Named for the nemesis-clone from the "Negaverse")
She's much harder to get good photos of since, unlike Darkwing above, she hasn't posed for us yet, haha. She's intensely curious and is constantly in the bathing tub or when-free-ranging in the pond.

Negs' photo was taken this morning, Darkwing's was about a week ago. Below was a week ago.
