(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens and I got my first chickens on March 25, 2011. They are my babies with wings.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have a pair of show silkie chickens. Thier names are Kate and William.
(3) What breeds do you have?
My chicken breed is a silkie. Partridge silkie to be specific.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
My Uncle Story started me out. He took me to my first chicken show where I met his good friend and chicken breeder Sandy. Sandy gave me my pair of silkies and my Uncle Story had me start BYC.com to be able to kepp in touch with Sandy and meet other friends with chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?\\
I love to read especially about my chickens. I also love to knit, chrochet, and sew.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live in North Carolina. I have a dog that lives with us at home he is the one pet inside the home our landlord doesn't seem to like animals very much. So my chickens are living on the back porch of my grqandmother's home in there own private coop. William my male loves to play Who Can Crow the Loudest with my grandmother's malr chicken Ben. I also have a horse who lives in Tenneessee. Her name is Puddin' and lives on my Granparents farm with 22 other horses.
