New silkie chick with pink toe

Well I just ordered the assorted silkie package and just noticed the blue colored one has a middle toe that goes pink at about the 2nd knuckle all the way to the tip. Are partial non-black parts common?

No, that is a fault (DQ for showing). If you breed this bird it will pass on the defect. Not to all, but to some, maybe more than half.

It should darken as the bird gets older. I have had this happen and I know of several others as well.
