New silkie with eye injury? *NEW QUESTION*

Upon bringing my new Silkies home, I noticed that one seems to have something wrong with its eye. There's a small lump in front of the inside corner and the eye itself is watery, much like a human eye after being poked. No pus or other funky stuff, no sneezing, no nasal discharge, eating normal, pooping normal, etc. Perhaps it was pecked by another chick? It's the little lump that concerns me. I don't think my camera will be able to pick it up, otherwise I'd post some pictures. How should I treat this?

My girl had a similar thing last summer, it turned out she had scratched it and the lump was the 3rd eyelid all swollen. I treated with terramycin eye ointment and saline wash.

I think it was 2x's a day maybe for 7 days. Tried to find old post but couldn't find duration of treatment. Maybe someone else would know. I saw improvement quickly though. I also treated with the terramycin in the water before I was told it is next to useless. Give vitamins too, just in case.

Definite yes on the terramycin eye ointment. I had the same problem with a baby silkie a few months ago. A couple of drops in the eye and bam, it was better. It is about $13.00 at TSC.

Does anyone know if I can use Neo-Poly-Bac Hydro?
It contains Neomycin and Polymyxin B (which I believe are in the Terramycin), Sulfates, Bacitracin Zinc and Hydrocortisone.

I ordered some Terramycin (feed store doesn't carry it and TSC is an hour away) but it probably won't be here for at least a few days and I'd like to start treating this eye ASAP.

I don't mean to be a pain in the rear but if anybody knows the answer to this please let me know asap! I leave work in an hour and would like to know if I should take the ointment home with me and start treatment tonight.... Sorry!
