I've had my chicks going on 4 weeks now and I can't believe how much time I spend just watching them. I wasn't sure what kinds of chic's to get so I ordered an assortment. So my question is at what point will I be able to ask what breeds do I have?

! Great to have you aboard! Usually by 4 weeks you can at least start to have some accurate guesses as to breed. If you have questions post some pics of your birds in the link below. Good luck to you and enjoy your flock!

they probably sent you a bunch of cockerels too, that's their big chance to unload them - I want to see pictures - I bet they are cuties

Welcome to Back Yard Chickens. I enjoy coming home from work and feeding the chickens and ducks just to watch them. Our roosters are just starting to crow and we enjoy hearing them in the morning.

Thanks for the welcome on board all. I have the pictures of the chic's but not sure how to upload them on to the site so you can tell me what they are. I went to the link and went to start a new trend but I didn't see where you could upload anything.
