New to Backyard Chickens and raising chickens

I am new to raising chickens. I have 10 golden comet chickens and they just turned 4 months old. I started this to get fresh eggs and enjoy my new feathered friends. I found out about Backyard chickens about a year ago when my interest in raising chickens began. I hope to learn from those of you who have experience with chickens and if I can help someone else.

Welcome! Sounds like you are gonna have a lot of eggs! Can you tell your Chicks apart? I like Golden Comet but haven"t had any yet. My 7 are varied Layer Breeds and - at 9 weeks old - I still have trouble telling the 2 reds apart!
