Hello Everyone,
I’m new to keeping backyard chickens. I have 3 young hens that I acquired from a coworker who had to suddenly move and couldn’t take them with her. I am excited to learn more about the girls and can’t wait to enjoy watching them and to reap the fruits of their labor. I have a couple of questions that I’m still researching. I know it’s best to not rinse the eggs until I am ready to use them, but should I keep them in the fridge, or at room temp? I’ve also read that they are great for my yard, however, I have noticed since acquiring the girls, my grass has slowed growth and seems to be thinning a bit. I have also noticed some brown spots. This is quite abnormal this time a year as I live in Florida and we have rain at least every other day. Is there something I should differently for keeping the grass in better shape?
