New to backyard chickens

I’m new to backyard chickens and have had chickens going on 4 years now. I joined because I have a broody hen and I don’t need any more chicks. I let her hatch in April and now she went broody 2 days ago. I would like to know the best way to break her. Thanks

Thanks I put her in a dog crate for the night. Will put water and feed in tomorrow.

Hello Sheila, and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
Is the dog crate solid wire and elevated off the ground? Those are important features. If it gets a very warm where you are you might want to add a couple of cool, not cold, water dunks to help cool her off throughout the day.
