Ok gotta question and I don't know how to start a thread on a dif topic yet lol. My neighbors chickens free range. I would like for mine to as well I just don't know if they would go join the neighbors chickens or not.

Chickens tend to flock together so it is possible they would go off with them.

To start a new thread, first of all find the section of the forum that fits your question best - for example,

Forum - Raising Backyard Chickens - Managing your Flock

Once there, look just below the section name (eg, Managing your Flock), and you will see a blue box that says "Start a new thread". Click on that and you are off and running.

Your chickens are very likely to mix with others in the area, and may even move away from home if they like it enough over there.

Chickens are funny creatures. They may like your neighbour's chickens and go hang out with them and they may be a bit funny with these "strangers" and let the feathers fly. Another thing to consider is that your neighbour may not appreciate your flock hanging out by him/her. I think the best thing to do is make sure you have a secure, chicken proof fence between you and the neighbours. You know that saying "Good fences makes good neighbours"?
