My daughter (11) purchased a few OEGBs yesterday at a swap meet. I bought them some layer crumbles, and they ate, and ate and ate.

Are they any different care-wise than LF? I'm worried they ate so much! Do they get smaller portions more often, or do they need constant access to food?

I'm googling the standard now, because they have 2 different types of combs. The wheaten has a regular comb and the splash has a blob -what is that?

Same care for Bantams as the larger breeds, they just eat less because they're smaller. They need to be kept a little warmer in the frigid climates. The splash looks like it has a pea comb from this angle.

Thanks birdaholic. I think I need a group to recover from the obsession myself.

Well, after reading about them today....I think he was "dubbed". Pretty sure. YIKES! That really will put a damper on my daughter doing any showing of roos. We will not be "dubbing" any roos.

Do they eat a lot when stressed? They eat more than my LF. Or maybe they're spilling more than they're eating...
