Hello all,
I am a first time member, and chicken raiser. My family and I built a chicken condo its huge, with a huge yard for the newly bought chicks, ducks. Any and all help with being a first time chicken owner, would be greatly appreciated. Please wish us luck for our new chicken family (28) duck (2).

will respond to all with helpful advice...Thanks

Welcome and my best advice is ventilate, ventilate and ventilate some more.

! Great to have you with us! I am not sure what advice you need but here is one tip:
-Keep the duck area separate from the chick area. Ducks have a huge water demand and make a tremendous mess of it. Ducks love to bore holes in the ground where they splash their water as well. Also, if you have any drakes in the batch you will want to keep them separate from the chickens when the the ducks get to be breeding age - a drake can injure or even kill a chicken mating her.

A great resource for the care and maintenance of chickens is the Learning Center link below. You'll learn all about nutrition, etc.

The Baby Chicks forum is Q & A but reading back through the threads will answer a lot of questions that come up.

X2, great advice. A wet environment is perfect for pathogens that are very harmful to chickens but especially chicks.
