Hi all! I haveen reading this site for the last month or so and finally joined. I have learned so so so much from all of you! Thank you!
My husband, being the good hubby he is, built me a beautiful chicken coop about six months ago after asking an asking. I then received my first 6 chickens about five months ago and have been hooked ever since. I recently aquired two 5 month old hens and five 5 weeks old chicks so I have a bit of chicken segregation going on right now. I keep my 6 hens seperate but next to the two 5 month olds. They are learning each other and soon I will introduce them. One of the new chickens cut her head open about two weeks ago but after super glue, meds and love, she is doing great! I am waiting for her to heal before I introduce her to my other chickens. I look forward to learing more and more and it's nice to see so many people on here who have the same interest as me.
I have 13 chickens and love each one of them! I have two Rhode Island Reds, two Americaunas, two Barred Rocks, a Silver Laced Wyndotte, a Buff Orpington, three Lavendar Orpingtons and two Austerlorps (I learn thier breed today on BYC).
