Hi! We got these two little ones when they're a week old and now they're so big and healthy! Since they're our firsts, I am not certain in telling apart the roos and hens. Would you be able to help? Thanks!

Jennifer

Welcome to BYC, Jennifer. Glad you decided to join our flock. Young Silkies can be notoriously difficult to sex, even for experienced chicken owners. However, given the size of its comb and wattles, I'm thinking cockerel on the black one. The white Silkie looks like a pullet. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your Silkies.

The black is definitely a cockerel and the white appears to be a pullet. You might also want to post at the "Silkie thread."

Sounds like you were already pointed in the right direction by the other posters so I just wanted to say, "Welcome to the BYC flock! We are glad you joined us!"
