New to BYC! - Chicken & Ducks okay to raise together?

I am hoping to order Brown Leghorns and Rouen Ducks at the same time.

I would love to hear from people who have/are raising Chickens & Ducks together.

Also what do you feed the ducks?

I get my feed specially ground by a local farmer, but mostly corn and soybeans. They love "scrounging" though.

Chicks and ducklings have different diets. Ducklings can't have medicated feed like chicks can. I would keep them in separated from each other.

Not that I have ducks, but I believe that they need different coops too. Ducks are wet, and chickens are dry.

Yes, do not feed the ducklings any medicated feed. It will kill them. It is best to keep the chickens and ducks separated.
