Hi,
My name is Leslie and I am new to all of this. I have a small coop and just expanded the play yard area. I had a flock of older birds that a friend gave me to see if I liked having the chickens. I loved it!!!
I am now looking in to breeds that I might enjoy. I am thinking about Orpingtons and Marans.
I am buying a rooster and a hen today that are supposed to be Black Copper Marans.
I would really like to have some nice chickens, eggs and possibly show them at some point. I am hoping to learn as much as possible about chickens in general as well as the breeds, standards and showing. I know I will enjoy the chickens regardless.
I look forward to meeting people here on BYC and learning as well.
