Hello! I'm Karen and I have 8 chickens (2 barred rocks, 1 white rock, 2 cinnamon queens, 1 rir, 1 buff laced polish and 1 Ameraucana). I also take care of 4 muscovi ducklings as well as many other animals. I always have questions and I am always looking on byc.com, so I decided to join. I have never had chickens, so this is a huge learning experience.
I have 2 horses, 2 rats, a chinchilla and various fish. I teach riding lessons where my chickens are kept. The barred rocks and the white rocks are between 2-3 months old, while the others are about a month. I am a horticulture student looking to go into food crop production and work with my horses, as well as train students and other horses. My fiance is a city boy who finds my animal choice strage, but likes them most of the time
