I am a work from home accountant and mother of 2 little ladies in Phoenix, Arizona. I was born and raised on a farm in South Dakota and have never felt at home in the big city. I want to move to a smaller town and have my own small farm but until circumstances allow, I satiate myself with my love for animals. We have dogs, cats, fish, turtles, parakeets, and hamsters...all the little critters I am allowed to have in the city. Quail is my first adventure into "farming" so to speak but I am too much of a bleeding heart to harvest them so we will be utilizing the eggs and loving them as pets. Priming the incubator today so we can put Coturnix in on Saturday. The girls and I are very excited. I love the BYC site because it has provided so much valuable information for my quail adventure and I'm able to start learning chickens too so by the time I get my farm...I'll be an expert!
