new to byc today just wanted to say hey to all

got 15 chickens three weeks ago will be putting them in there coop memorial weekend big question of the day seems to be when to let them into boxes and why not right away ? never heard of that before

Hi and a very war welcome from over the pond!.... best to keep them quarantined from any other birds you have for at least a month. If you are then introducing them into an established coop, put them in at night after the other hens have gone to roost.. that way less fighting probems... good look...

Glad you could join us. If your talking about the nest boxes, it's so they don't get used to sleeping in them. You want them to use them only for laying to avoid dirty or broken eggs.
