New to BYC want information on Polish Crested Chickens

Hi everybody I am new to all things chicken this spring

I have one Polish Rooster named Hollywood, two Black chickens named Bert and Henrietta and bunch of babies we ordered from a hatchery. We purchased two black chickens from a friend who told us they were silkies. However they don't have any feathers on their legs and have crest on their heads. From my reasearch I believe they are some sort of Polish Crested. All the pics I find on Polish Crested have coloring to them. Mine are all black except Bert (the male) has some brown on his wings. Do polish crested develop their coloring later? Were not sure how old they are but were born this year and are approx. 8-10 inches tall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kim
