We started our flock (our first) this spring when we bought 7 chicks and had them in a pack and play in our living room. Now 25 weeks or so have past and we have full blown chickens. 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Golden Sex Links, and 3 Ameraucanas. We really enjoy having them around and have built quite the safe haven for them. My young girls love to hold them and play with them. The chicken seem to enjoy it as well.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Congratulations on getting your chicken journey underway :celebrate
Sounds like your girls are really enjoying themselves. Mine too love to be held and like nothing more than lap sitting.

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a nice mix of breeds. Golden (Red) Sex Links are laying machines. You should get loads of large brown eggs from those two girls.) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

So glad you joined the Backyard chickens flock
