Hello all!! We are a small acreage family in rural South Dakota (moving to western Wisconsin in the spring!) We homeschool, have 3 boys at home (well, 2 now, since our 19 year old is a freshman in college), 3 grown kids (with 4 grands!), and enjoy the rural lifestyle. We have been dairy farmers in the past, but my husband is now a dairy nutritionist, hence the move back to Wisconsin.
Our 2 boys at home are quite the rural entrepreneurs....they have 29 hens, are looking to build up a honey business once we are moved, and would like to run a road-side stand of fresh vegetables.
We are always interested in learning about the chickens and how we can better care for them.
