Hello everyone
My name is Lisa, I'm 48, a full time caregiver for my mom & I live in Anderson CA (by Shasta Lake & Redding)
I remember raising chickens when I was younger. I had alot of fun with them...collecting eggs, feeding them scratch & just watching them (yep, I even chased them as a kid, until the geese we had chased me back lol)
Anyway, I just recently started raising Button Quail and just had 3 chicks break out of their shell a few days ago. That was a complete shock but totally amazing! They are adorable and so much fun to watch! I absolutely love these guys and want to learn how to make them all the happiest button quail to ever live.
Outside of my growing flock I have 4 small dogs that follow me everywhere!! I love working in my yard and growing plants & flowers, most of the time just to see if I can get them to grow in our 110+ summer heat.
I'm really glad I found this site! There's so much info & guidance...it has become my 'go-to' site for all my questions
