Hello everyone,
My wife and I had been thinking of getting chickens for a while, whenever we moved to a place with some land. That finally happened then my wife's son sent us a dozen of his eggs! We've never hatched eggs before it was a awesome experience. Out of 12 we had 8 fertile and 6 hatch. 2 Sliver Dorking, 2 Easter eggers, a Plymouth Rock, and a Golden laced Wyandotte all are crosses. Think at least 3 roos. As I'm sure you know it's easy to get hooked on chickens. Now we have 3 Silkies a Partridge, Showgirl, and maybe a Splash, Blue tipped red Wyandotte, 2 Langshans, and a Cream Legbar. That didn't take long going to need a bigger coop now. All the roos will go to a rooster sanctuary that a guy has close by us. We have some neighbors don't want to cause any problems right off.
So that's our story so far.
Love all the info on form.
Look forward to being part of the chicken revolution!
