We have just welcomed 4 chicks to our home. We are completely new to raising chickens, but look forward to this new adventure. We have one buff orph, one black sex link and two Easter eggers.

I have a buff orpington and easter egger too! Sex links are great chickens too. You'll be getting lots of eggs from them once they are grown. Have you checked out our learning center yet? TONS of helpful info there.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. I have all three of those breeds and you have some wonderful breeds (although technically Black Sex Links and EEs are hybrids and not actually breeds). Black Sex Links are my favorites as they are friendly and hardy, egg laying machines. I've raised them for years and they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 eggs per hen per year. You should get loads of eggs from that girl. :o) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.
