New to chicken raising...

Hello,
I'm Vanessa. I'm in good ol' Oregon. this last spring I recently purchased 4 chickens and 2 ducks. My ducks just laid today for the first time, super excited about that! Anyhow, I have learned a lot from reading posts on this site so, I decided to join! I'm excited to learn more about my new adventure and meet some new people!

Hi there!

We have 2 chickens and a duck and got our first chicken eggs this week! Turns out we have a drake so no duck eggs for us!! I am amazed at how exciting it is to open the box and fine a perfect egg inside!!

Hello from southern Idaho! This is my first summer raising chickens. My rhoad island reds just started laying eggs about a week ago. It was like Christmas when I found it, and it has been easter every day since then! good luck, and have fun!
