Hi!
I am looking forward to getting 4 ....or maybe 6...
baby chicks this spring but I'm in a chicken-or-the -egg-dilemma: What comes first, the permit or the chickens? I need a permit to keep chickens in my town, but I can't get the permit until the inspector inspects my coop, but does it make sense to build a coop if then I could be denied a permit? In what order have all of you done this? I don't forsee any problem getting the permit - I doubt my neighbors will mind, and even if they do, I have enough yard to stay within the guidelines for the permit so I don't think they can object. I've heard it's easier to apologize than to get permission when it comes to town permits, but I'd really like to do the right thing. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Kristin
