Hello I just purchased chicks for the first time about a week ago and am sort of learning as I go. I love the site though I have been reading like crazy so I don't feel nearly as nervous about messing up as I did. Anyway I have 5 buff Orpington hens (soon to be six once the store gets a replacement for a dead chick

one roster, a Plymouth Rock hen (sons) and a Speckled Sussex hen (daughters). We will also have one Broad Breasted Bronze that will have his own place to live once he comes in also.

So anyway I live in IL have the coop and Run almost done and if the weather ever improves will finish things up.
 
Also here are the chicks that we have now. The picture is a week old and I can't believe how different they look today from when I took the first picture. They all have feathers on their wings and look allot bigger.
