New to Chickens and turkeys

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are new to owning chickens, recently bought property so this would be the best to start with.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 9 total. Bought 10, lost one and are finding out that one is actually a turkey.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have one buff op, 5 wyandotte, 2 road island reds, and we think 1 royal palm turkey
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Hopefully to keep pests down and a supply of eggs
