New to chickens from KY

Me, my wife and daughter are going to start doing a little urban homesteading this spring and are looking to get 2 or 3 chickens for laying hens.We are new to raising chickens so we need all the help we can get.

Hey WKYEggHead - Where in W.Ky are ya? We are in Henderson County. Just started chickens first of this year and let me tell ya from my 1/2 dozen chickens which SOMEHOW are now 16 chickens (aka "chicken math"), ya can't have just one! or two...or three...haha. If you are close, we have built our own pens/coops and you are welcome to come take a look, check out the gang.
