New to Chickens in Indiana

My wife and I and our 5 kids will be getting chickens within the next month or so. We have spent the last few weeks cleaning out a 50x50 pen that the previous owners housed a goat in. We are getting a free coop, that we will modify, repair, customize to be safe and cozy for the birds. We will start with 5-7 adult birds that we will most likely pickup at the local sale barn. We are excited for fresh eggs and to have some new buddies running around

The plan is to build a small covered run inside the big run area for when we are gone through the day. A friend and I went and picked up the coop last night and got it delivered to the house. It needs some serious TLC and a little reworking but it should definitely be good for our goals right now. We are getting more excited by the day.

Could someone please point me to the section where I can post and keep track of the progress of our coop build/remodel? I thought I saw a specific subforum for that but couldn't find it this morning. Thank you in advance

That is not the permanent location for the coop. We set it outside of the run on solid ground to do the remodel and will then move it into place.
