Hello,
I am new to chickens, I hatched my first batch of eggs last October. I have 12 birds and trying to identify the breeds of most of them. I purchased a backyard mix of eggs.
I would like for people with experience in chicken breeds to help me identify them. I will attach numbered pictures of my birds. Please post the number of the picture followed by the breed if you know what breed they are.
Thank you!
1) This one is "Paprika", she's a little hen.

I'm not an expert but I'd guess:
1. Silkie or silkie mix
2. Maybe an Orpington
3-5. No clue
6. Barred rock mix?
7, 8. Polish mix
9. Easter egger
10-12. Also don't know

Hope this helps, and nice flock!

You've got a lot of mixes in there, I think they're all mixes. Lets see,
I'm gonna borrow from @MochaDuck
1. Silkie or silkie mix agree
2. Maybe an Orpington has to a be a mix, Buff Orps are, well, buff colored.
3-5. No clue  Frizzle mixes, but frizzle is a gene trait...
6. Barred rock mix? I'm gonna guess maybe a cochin or a maran's mix because of the feathered legs.
7, 8. Polish mix Jeff is a Silkie mix, dark skin and 5 toes. Agree with 8
9. Easter egger Yes. this chicken is a mix of something
10-12. Also don't know Mixes.

What color eggs do the ladies lay? That can give you clues as to what's mixed in there.

They are all crossbreds. I see traits of Silkie, Brahma, Polish, Ameraucana, Cochin, Wyandotte, Rock. Somebody had quite the mix in their flock that the eggs came from.

Yes, I figured they were all mixes, but most have some defining traits. This is my first hatch and I love them all, they're all unique.
2 of them do have 5 toes; is that a silkie characteristic?
They just started laying; we built 6 nest boxes but all 9 hens generally just use and share 2, so when I collect the eggs, I can't tell which hen laid which?:th
I get brown eggs, some blue eggs, some green eggs, pink eggs, purple egg, and 1 very dark speckled egg.
