In the Brooder
Hello Everyone,
Me and my son are new to Chickens, we have been planning to get them since moving to a 15 acre property over a year ago. I am glad to see my 8yr old so into it. He is already way ahead of himself talking about breeding and what type's of hybrids he wants to create. He also is happy to help clean the brooder 3x a day and takes care of them greatly. Anyways we hope to learn as much as possible here. \
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we are new. We just got our first chickens 3 days ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My sons hobbies are Robotics, Lego's, programming, and of course video games.
My hobbies are track riding motorcycles, and programming.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a Linux Systems administrator. I have two sons, one 8 and the other is almost 2. I have a lovely wife and we also have one dog who is a Mcnab and Lab mix. We live in a Geodesic Dome house on 15 acres in central California and we love it so much. I have an old barn that we are re-purposing into our chicken area. I have fenced off quite a bit of yard outside the barn, and we are building the coop inside the barn where they will lay eggs and seek shelter.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
we have been browsing from time to time and finally decided to join the community.
