Good morning
My Husband and I decided to try chickens we got out first 3 St Patty's day this year. By the end of chick season we had 13....I know we didn't just jump in we were drowning. We got them all raised built them a run and coop.
We wanted to mix it up so we had all different breeds.
Lavender orpington
Rhode island red
Black sex link
Gold sex link
Silver leghorn
White leghorn
Americuana
Welsummer
Speckled Sussex
Astrolorp
Barred Rock
Golden laced Wynadotte
Sapphire Gem
Wow that was hard to remember with out looking at them. Of course too they lo have goofy names. There ended up being roosters the Barred rock, Orpington, Austrolop. Two got sold.
We now got quail too, why not tack more on to the learning curve.
We live in Washington State, ours stay in their run to be safe from predators. Then when we are around we let them free range.
