New to Chickens

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I first got chickens about 2 weeks ago. I'm raising my first group of chicks.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

They eat the bugs and I will eventually get eggs.

(5) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I am home schooling my 2 children. They are 3 and 8. The chickens are a great learning tool. We live on a small corner lot in a small town. My yard is not fenced in and we are friendly with our neighbors who enjoy our chickens.

(6) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

I have no idea what I'm doing and was looking for answers to my questions.
