Hi all,
I'm new here (and to sharing my home with chickens) and have found lots of great answers to my ever increasing questions! We live in South Africa have 4 Boschveld chickens that are now about 20 weeks old. They were a Christmas present from my husband and we are absolutely in love with them, spending each morning sitting out back with a cup of coffee watching "Days of Our Chickens". They have gone from being shy 10 week olds to getting sort of used to company, running to us when they think we have food to actually coming into the kitchen if we leave the door open. They no longer run from our 2 year old kitty, and often they all hang out together in the garden. I look forward to finding out more info for the daily questions that come up.
