Living in S.GA now after living on my catamaran for 14 years, I decided to get me some baby chicks, but first I wanted to get everything ready for them.

I have watched over 50 YouTube videos on raising chicks, making runs and various coops, so I have a good idea what to expect. Famous last words.

My first task was setting up a brooder box with a 27-gal container and making a secure top (picture attached) to keep the baby chicks inside and my three inside cats OUT.

I am waiting on delivery of a medium OverEZ Coop, and I have set markers for (6) 4x4x6 posts to start contructing a 6'x16' run. I am getting excited about this new chapter of my life.

Wish me luck.
