I will use the template since it seems easiest to get all the info to y'all.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens and we just picked up our girls on the 23rd. They are only a couple days old and are currently living in my bedroom in an aquarium.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 2 Rhode Island Reds and 1 Ameraucana.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Already answered.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I think it was through Mother Earth News, but I've done so much research lately that it's hard to remember where I've found everything.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Well, knitting, spinning, weaving, gardening, crocheting, camping, candle-making, soap-making, cooking (sometimes), reading, learning.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Currently I'm a childcare provider contracted through the state for kids on assistance. I like the feeling that I can bring a little help to the families who need it. I'm currently working on becoming debt free and should be able to do so in just over a year. After that, I'll be saving up for my farm.
We have 3 indoor cats right now since we still live in town. Once we move out to the country we may get a barn cat or two (these girls are already too used to being indoors and most likely wouldn't adapt well.)
I have lots of interests and those include a huge variety of life. Currently, I'm doing my best to learn as much as I can before getting my farm.
