Hi all, my name is Brit and I'm brand new the the chicken game.
I live with my young son right next to my parents and this is a joint venture for us. We chose to get chickens for eggs and to teach my son responsibilty, but I never expected to fall so in love with them, they are now my babies
We started with 12 babies
3 RIR (2 of which are roos and though I love them dearly, sadly I will need to find them a new home, we will not be breeding despite my best arguments)
2 white leghorns, 1 gorgeous black leghorn and 6 ISA Browns. We sadly lost 2 ISA Browns to a cold, hungry, greedy snake, but the other 10have been thriving. I'm super excited to be a part of this community, I've read through the forum quite a bit already and love all the support!
