new to chicks

My husband and I decided to try our hands at chickens. We presently have 9 chicks consisting of black australorps, salmon favorelles, gold laced wyandottes, a barred rock and a welsummer. We are planning on putting these 7-8 week old chicks into their coop next week.

The chicks should do fine at that age. Provide plenty of clean water, food, and chick grit? I had to help my chicks get from the run into the coop at night until they figured out how to climb the ladder on their own. Good luck, it's fun to watch them grow!
