Hello! I am a first time mom to 10 chicks I picked up on St. Patricks Day, so roughly 6 weeks old. I have 1 Silver Wyandotte, 1 Barred Rock, 1 Australorp, 3 EE's and 4 ISA Browns. I've been eyeing chickens for about two years and have no farmyard experience, so this is a huge change for me. I'm excited to learn about them and I've already found they are quite calming for me. And, the eggs - I'm excited about the eggs. I work from home as an auditor, and love to read, boat, and spend time with my grown children and two dogs.

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.
