Hey, new to duck incubating and this site. I've been doing lots of reading but have a few un answered questions.
I made my own incubator which is actually working! Temp stays at 35.5-37.5 and humidity hoveres between 45 and 55%. I have lost an egg or two but I have one that is very promising. They are rouen duck eggs and this one is about day 15. I've read that I need a separate hatching incubator? How do I make one that holds the correct humidity? I believe 80%? And what is lockdown? I really want to see this egg hatch and the others but I need some more info. Any help is appreciated! Also if I successfully hatch one or more what do I feed them and for how long before they can eat my normal feed?
Thanks!!

Lockdown is the last three days before hatching when the humidity should be increased more than what it was during development. As far as what you feed them, I always fed my baby ducks the same chick starter feed that I fed my baby chicks.
