I'm back!

I've been very fortunate as to find most of the answers to my questions in other threads on the forum. Our 4 girls (Pekins) started laying a couple weeks ago, Well, that's when we discovered they were laying. LOL Our 7 roam free and have since mid winter (We had to let them loose because we had 40+ inches of snow on the ground and could not get to their house). They have been enjoying the melting of the snow(Yes, we still have snow in some areas of Northern MI). We discovered the first egg April 26, with 3 more on the 27th. Since then, it was 1 a day until last weekend, then we were getting 2 each day, 1 of which was as big as a goose egg. The water has finally dried up enough we were able to check one of the spots where they liked to play and found 3 more nests with about a dozen more eggs. We have no real idea how long they've been there. We didn't the "kids" until October, so these are first eggs. As far as we can tell/recall none of the girls has been back to any of the nests. Should we leave the eggs or collect them and get rid of them? No one seems to want to sit on any nests. We've found eggs under trees, in the grass, in a mud hill, just about everywhere except the nesting area.

I read else where that while can be good layers, they don't sit very well. We'd like to hatch some babies. Should we let the ducks do the work or should we invest in an incubator?

Any and all advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

The water isn't as dirty as it looks. They stirred up a lot of mud that day.
