Hi there. I am a newbie duck mom. We got our first 4 ducklings on 3/18/11. Two Khakis and two Magpies. Got straight run - jokes on me - so have three drakes and 1 hen in first group. Now we have added two more Khaki hens (sexed - hopefully) Did research before but didn't realize it was going to be as much work as it is. Even after all the reading. I am adjusting. Not sure the husband is thrilled, but they are 'my' ducks. Keep being told we need to get rid of some drakes, but they have names and personalities. They were supposed to be for eggs, but they are now pets. What can you do....LOL. Dachshunds and ducks in Snohomish, WA.
