Hi all! My hubby and I are new to the chicken form as well as fairly new to the chicken world. We obtained 6 barred Plymouth Rock hens last summer and 1 Plymouth Rock rooster. Our ladies have been fabulous egg producers for us and our boy protects his ladies. As of last night we just hatched our own lot of barred Plymouth rocks and are hoping to learn more about raising our own from chicks and I'm sure we will have questions regarding what gender we have. Amazing group and happy to now be a part of it!

Cheers

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
