Hallo,

New chicken enthusiast, looking to purchase several hens in the near future, doing my reasarch first so I thought joining the forum would be a great start. Very excited!!!:D

Glad you joined us! Have a look at the Learning Center. You will find a lot of good info there on things like choosing breeds, raising chicks, hatching eggs, keeping the flock healthy.... etc. Enjoy the site!
 
hi all , i am so pleased. to have found this site and hope I can get some advice of you seasoned folk! I have no Chickens yet as I am trying to learn as much as I can before I purchase ! I live in France close to the Swiss border and I am wandering if there are others on the site from this area! I am English ! I have just purchased a small coop (recycled plastic ) for about 4 birds and we are looking for the best design for an enclosed run . we are very close the the open country and do have foxs and many birds of prey! around although we have never seen any foxes in the garden , mind we have a large male dog which I am told they can sense ?? I am open to any suggestions and advice .
