So glad I found this website.. I ask my DIL's brother for 4 hens to raise for eggs. I got 20 chickens but lost 2. So I have 18 birds that I have no idea if they are Roos or Hens!!!. There is one definite Rooster who is a few weeks older than the rest and actually looks like a Rooster. I am suppose to have Rhode Island Reds, Orpingtons, and Araucanas. From reading on here I might have several EE. The breeder hatched them from his own Hens and Roos. They were hatched mid May. Is there any sites that show breeds by age? It is so confusing trying to figure out what is what!!!

I don't know any websites for showing the breed by age, but there probably are some other threads about that kind of stuff. I understand the challenge of not knowing the breeds, because we had some chickens a while ago and we had NO IDEA what most of them were! :barnie Good luck on your quest to find out the ages!
Also, Orpingtons are really fun to have! We have two right now, a Splash and a Black. Hope to get some Buff O's!!

I second @rjohns39 suggestion to try posting photos on the breed & gender forum, that's probably your best bet for figuring out their breed.

Best of luck to you and thanks for joining us!

I have tried for 2 days to upload pictures to help identify the sex of my chickens. For some reason NOTHING with upload. I will keep on working on it and also observing my coop. Is it correct that Hens will sit a lot and Roos sit very seldom? Thank you for all of your help. I was thinking about keeping all the Roos for protection of the flock. Is that a good or bad idea??
