I have a brower top hatch and have 18 eggs in there. I am on day 23. On day 22 one hatched at about 7 am. On day 23 the second was out before we checked at 6:30. We now have a third one unzipping. The first one seems eager to help and is pecking at the unzipping process. Is this normal?

Also the two are pretty dry, how long before I pull them out and put in the brooder? I am still hopefully we get a few more

I’d pull them out and put them in the brooder especially if they’re dry. Just grab them quickly so there’s barely any change to your incubators temp and humidity.

Chicks will mess with eggs because they’re curious little things. There’s no harm done usually with their curiousness.

I left them be for a bit and went back in and one of the eggs was unzipping. A leg or foot poked out and the curious chick started to peck/pull on it so figured it was time. Moved the first two to the brooder. When I got back the chick had hatched so assuming no damage we are all good phew
