I got 10 Cornish at one week old and am getting conflicting info. about feeding. I have supposedly the right kind of feed for their age (4weeks) but someone said that I need to stop free feeding. As of right now they are confined and don't free range. Hopefully this week I'll fix it so they can be outside some. So question is: do I limit how much they eat and if so how do I decide how much?

You don't HAVE to limit feed, but if you don't you will probably have some losses due to leg, respiratory and heart problems. As far as how much to give them when you limit feeding, I gauge it on how fast they clean it up. No more than they can clean up in 10-15 minutes is how I do it. Others will have other methods, I'm sure. It is sort of trial and error your first time or two, then you will figure out your own best way of doing things.

Go to welphatchery.com. They have really good instructions on how to care for meat birds on their web site.. I think that is mainly what they sell. Limiting the feed is not hard. Take it away about 7 at night and give it back about 7 in the morning.

How many times a day do you do that?
