Hi, folks! I had 3 chickens in Florida but recently moved to Oklahoma. What breeds of chicken do best in Oklahoma County, are friendly, and are pretty regular layers? Thanks everyone!

Hi Susankjordan! I would definitely recommend d’Uccles! Absolutely beautiful birds, very friendly, and all mine are very good egg layers.

Hi and welcome to Oklahoma! I'm sure you will get louts of opinions on this one. I'd say most breeds do fine here. Cinnamon Queens/ Red sex links lay well and are very friendly. Are you looking for a few birds to keep in town?
